What's a wattle?

If it ain't got wattles - it's just a pig!

Each Red Wattle sports two fashionable fleshy, kidney shaped dangles at the corner of each jowl. Around here they’re known as “Piggy Bling”. We think other pigs look funny without them!

What are they good for? Well they make it easy to tell RW’s from other pigs. They make little kids giggle when they touch them. They are great conversation starters. Oh and they gave the breed their name.

What purpose do they serve to the pig? None. There is no useful function for the wattle.
